Essence of the ACE Project

ACEAre Fraternities and Sororities an asset, or are we simply another liability? Are we still relevant in today’s society? Many would argue that based on the actions of Greek chapters and members across the country we as organizations have become a dangerous liability.

Our relevance is called into question as chapter after chapter discard their fraternal values and stray away from their founding principles and ideals. We have seen it happen to others, and we have seen it happen to us.

But from this point on, it will happen to us no more. Sigma Pi Fraternity was founded over 100 years ago on the ideals of promoting scholarship, developing leadership, encouraging chivalry, advancing truth and justice, and providing service to God and man. We are taking a stand, we are making a commitment to our Fraternal Values, and we are changing the answers to the questions: Are Fraternities and Sororities an asset, or are we simply another liability? Are we still relevant in today’s society? Our answer is a resounding YES. YES, we are relevant in today’s society, now more than ever, and YES, we are an asset to our communities, our host institutions, and our members.

We believe that our founding principles are non-negotiable. We believe that these ideals must not be compromised, and we believe that our members cannot be excused from living these ideals. Pythagoras taught us that our precepts and ideals should be lived through praise worthy example and that our leadership is best displayed through the fellowship of our own beliefs.

This is the essence of the Altruisitc Campus Experience. We are making the choice to be an asset to our host institutions, by providing service when and where they need it. We are making the choice to be an asset to our members by helping them become positive contributors to their university, and setting the stage for them to become engaged alumni.
